Human Growth Hormone Enhancing Formula

Work on the Human Growth Hormone (HGH) started in the early 1970’s and it has remained at the medical forefront as one of the most important hormones in the body.

Youth Formula Advanced is a natural product formulated to increase the pituitary gland's release of human growth hormone in the body. The formula includes particular amino acids, herbs, vitamins, minerals and other ingredients which are known to activate the pituitary gland in various ways.

Anatomy of the pituitary gland

The pituitary gland is sometimes called the "master" gland of the endocrine system (system in charge of body processes that happen slowly, such as cell growth), because it controls the functions of the other endocrine glands. The pituitary gland is no larger than a pea, and is located at the base of the brain.

One of the functions of the anterior lobe of the pituitary gland is to produce the growth hormone.

In order to understand the role that the human growth hormone has on the body and aging process, it is important to understand about HGH as well as IGF-1.

What are hormones?

Hormones are biochemical molecules made up of amino acids and steroids produced in the endocrine glands. They are tiny chemical messengers continuously secreted into the bloodstream. The endocrine glands are transmitters, sending signals via their hormone messengers to the rest of the body. The messenger hormones bind to the receiving targeted cell receptors to trigger genetic functions in the body’s vital organs. Hormones are involved in every aspect of human function from sex and reproduction, growth and development, to metabolism and mood.

What are growth hormones?

The growth hormone or human growth hormone, also known as somatropin, is produced in the anterior of the pituitary gland inside the brain. It is one of the most abundant hormones secreted and is the primary hormone responsible for stimulating most body cells to increase in size and divide, promoting protein synthesis, and encouraging the body to use fats for fuel. Structurally, HGH is a polypeptide containing 191 amino acids.

The growth hormone is sent off into the blood by the pituitary gland to seek out and attach to targeted cell receptors. After it is released, the growth hormone remains in the bloodstream for only a few minutes, but that is long enough to stimulate its uptake to the liver where it is converted to growth factors. One of these growth factors is somatomedin-C, another small hormone, which is commonly referred to as insulin-like growth factor-one or IGF-1. IGF-1 helps to regulate HGH supply and is directly responsible for many of the positive benefits of the growth factor. Our body will respond by producing more IGF-1 to cut back levels of HGH, should HGH production go into overdrive. IGF-1 is believed to have receptors in nearly all tissues of the body. These receptor sites, when occupied, cause a variety of anabolic (building) activities. These activities include:

  • Influencing the activity of the cells to produce changes in plasma membrane permeability
  • Synthesis of proteins and enzymes within the cell
  • Enzyme activation or deactivation

These activities result in:

  • Constant tissue repair
  • Cell replacement
  • Organ integrity
  • Bone strength
  • Brain function
  • Integrity of hair, nails and skin

Approximately every three years, 90 percent of the body’s 100 trillion cells are replaced with new cells.

Aging and HGH

Our production of HGH reaches its peak when the body goes through the rapid growth phase during adolescence. If growing children do not have sufficient levels of HGH they will not grow beyond dwarf size, whilst if they have too much HGH they grow into giant size.

Aging is directly associated with the decline of HGH and that includes wrinkling, gray hair, decreased energy and sexual function, increased body fat and cardiovascular disease, wasting of muscle and bone, diminished healing ability and much more.

As we grow older, HGH is still produced in the brain but not all of it is actually released. Researchers believe that there is about a 14 percent reduction in release of the growth hormone every ten years (a sixty-year-old may secrete only 25 percent of that secreted by a twenty-year-old).

Youth Formula Advanced has been specifically developed to help restore the body’s HGH to health levels. With Youth Formula Advanced, HGH replacement is accomplished by ingesting substances that induce the pituitary gland to release the growth hormone already produced in the body.

The effect of HGH in controlled clinical trials

HGH replacement therapy has been used successfully for years. In the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism 84:2596-2602, 1999 is an article on the effects of 10 years of recombinant human growth hormone (GH) in adult GH-deficient patients. Following is a summary of the article:

“Assessment of psychological well-being using the Nottingham Health Profile revealed improvement in overall score, energy levels, and emotional reaction in the GH-treated group compared with those in the untreated group. In conclusion, GH treatment for 10 years in GH-deficient adults resulted in increased lean body and muscle mass, a less atherogenic lipid profile, reduced carotid intima media thickness, and improved psychological well-being.”

To gain further perspective on the effect of HGH replacement on adults age 39 to 74, the following was reported by L. Cass Terry, M.D., Ph.D., Chariman and Professor of Neurology at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, USA.

“Total serum cholesterol and triglycerides dropped significantly in both men and women when growth hormone supplements were provided to them. There were striking changes in muscles and body fat, with 80 percent reporting improvements in muscle strength, muscle size, and exercise endurance, and 72 percent in loss of body fat. Also notable, were:

  • Increase in sexual potency and frequency – 76 percent
  • Higher energy levels – 84 percent
  • Improved attitude toward life – 80 percent
  • Increased resistance to common illness – 73 percent
  • Improved skin elasticity – 73 percent
  • Enhanced emotional stability – 67 percent
  • Better memory – 64 percent”

Youth Formula Advanced is based on the use of natural ingredients to assist in the increased secretion of growth hormone from our pituitary gland. Ingredients that support the release of growth hormones in the body are called secretagogues. By definition, a secretagogue is a compound or complex that would cause an endocrine gland, such as the pituitary gland, to secrete its hormone. Youth Formula Advanced uses amino acids and other naturally occurring nutrients to cause the secretion of growth hormones.

The Youth Formula Advanced formula

The following is the amino acid and other nutrient content of Youth Formula Advanced:

1. Glycine

A major ingredient in this formula is Glycine. Glycine is the simplest amino acid and is the only amino acid that is not optically active (it does not contain stereoisomers). Glycine is essential for the production of the DNA building blocks, nucleic acids, bile acids, porphyrins, other amino acids, and the energy producing compound, creatine phosphate. The second most common amino acid in body proteins and enzymes is glycine. Another interesting feature of glycine is its similarity to gamma-aminobutyric acid, and glutamic acid. All three of the molecules have a neuro-inhibitory or calming effect on the brain and central nervous system. This is likely one of the mechanisms responsible for glycine’s ability to release HGH.

Glycine has recently been found to have anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, and cytoprotective effects on the cells of the body. One of its mechanisms of protection is activation of the glycine-gated chloride channel and modulation of calcium channels, both important in cell regulation. Glycine may help protect from free radical damage. It has been shown to protect kidney, liver and endothelial cells (cells lining blood vessels) from damage due to hypoxia (low oxygen levels). Finally, glycine may be helpful with the symptoms of gastric ulcers, arthritis, and cancer.

In addition to the above benefits, there is research that supports glycine as a potent releaser of HGH. One study showed that 6.75 grams of glycine taken orally at bedtime caused a three-fold increase in blood levels of HGH. In another study as little as 250 mg of glycine showed a significant rise in HGH.

2. Glutamine

Glutamine like Glycine has many functions in addition to being a powerful HGH releaser. It is the food of choice for the cells lining the gastrointestinal tract. Glutamine helps with normal cellular function which is critically important for cells to be able to maintain selective intestinal permeability (allow digested nutrients through, and keep undigested food and microbes from being absorbed). This single fact may well be a central factor in preventing most diseases ranging from heart disease, to Alzheimer’s and cancer.

Glutamine has also been used extensively to prevent breakdown of skeletal muscle. As the body is placed under severe stress, acid build up can occur, and muscle breaks down to release glutamine which acts as a buffer and neutralizes the acid through the liver and allows it to be secreted via the kidneys. Thus glutamine supplementation is critical in trauma patients, athletes, and in senior citizens, and could be beneficial to most everyone.

Glutamine is one of the newer amino acids to create excitement as an HGH releaser. Dr. Welbourne at the Louisiana State Univ. College of Medicine showed that only 2 grams of glutamine raised HGH levels by more than 4 times in a placebo controlled study. In addition it worked as well with seniors as with young subjects.

3. Vitamin B6

Vitamin B6 is a water soluble B-Complex Vitamin which is needed for the functioning of over 60 enzymes. It is needed for production of insulin, adrenaline, anti-bodies, white blood cells and protein metabolism. It is involved in a wide variety of biochemical reactions, including the synthesis of the neurotransmitters serotonin, dopamine, norepinephrine, and gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). Thus B6 indirectly helps with release of HGH via synthesis of GABA and dopamine. In addition, B6 is critically important in recycling of homocysteine to methionine. This biochemical recycling step is critical in prevention of vascular disease, cancer, and neurodegenertive disease.

4. Ginseng

Korean ginseng is used as a so-called "adaptogen" for increasing resistance to environmental stress and as a general tonic for improving well-being. It is used for stimulating immune function, improving physical and athletic stamina, and improving cognitive function, concentration, memory, and work efficiency.

Ginseng is also used orally for bleeding disorders, loss of appetite, vomiting, colitis, dysentery, cancer, insomnia, neuralgia, rheumatism, dizziness, headache, convulsions, disorders of pregnancy and childbirth, hot flashes due to menopause, and to slow the aging process.

Obviously, there are a multitude of potential uses for ginseng. Most of these uses center around the herb’s adaptogenic qualities, and its ability to combat fatigue and debility.

5. Green Tea Leaf

Green tea is natural dried leaves of the tea plant, Camellia Sinensis. Black tea is oxidized green tea. Both have been used for thousands of years in Asia, as beverage and medicine. Green tea is a compilation of potent antioxidants. It has a high content of polyphenols, which are a class of bioflavonoids.

The polyphenols in green tea are known as catechins, with multiple linked ring-like structures. The dominant and most important catechin in green tea is Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG), a potent antioxidant which is over 200 times more powerful than vitamin E in neutralizing the pro-oxidants and free radicals that attack lipid cell membranes throughout the body and especially the brain.

Green tea extract is used primarily for its free radical fighting capabilities, but has a wide range of applications:

  • Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG) also protects against digestive and respiratory infections.
  • It helps block the cancer-promoting actions of carcinogens, ultraviolet light, and metastasis from an original site in the skin, stomach, small intestine, liver or lung.
  • EGCG was also protective against high total and LDL-cholesterol levels on a cholesterol promoting diet in rats.
  • Crude catechins at 0.5% of diet were effective in lowering blood pressures in spontaneously hypertensive rats.
  • Both EGCG and black tea catechins suppressed angiotensin I converting enzyme, which causes essential hypertension.
  • EGCG also reduces platelet aggregation about as much as aspirin or Ginkgo biloba extract.
  • Green tea is very effective in inhibiting pathogenic bacteria that cause food poisoning, but increases levels of acidophilus (friendly) bacteria.
  • Green tea catechins (>= 250 mg EGCG) daily regularized bowel habits significantly.
  • Green tea also blocks the attachment of the bacteria associated with dental caries to the teeth.

6. Magnesium

This particular form of magnesium chelated to creatine makes it a good substrate for mitochondrial ATP production. Research supports the fact that Magnesium bound to creatine in a 1:1 ratio markedly increases cardiovascular performance and reduces recovery time.

7. FOS (fructooligosaccharides)

FOS is also known as prebiotics. These are long chain polysaccharides which can be added for their sweetening effect.

More importantly, FOS serves as a food for the beneficial intestinal bacteria. Studies have shown that by adding prebiotics to the diet may improve the bioavailability of minerals such as iron, calcium, and magnesium for absorption and thereby help prevent osteoporosis and anemia.

Youth Formula Advanced and the power of synergy

The real value of Youth Formula Advanced lies in the synergy of the combination of ingredients. The amino acids glycine and glutamine combined with the mucuna pruriens, and pyroglutamic acid have the ability to promote the release of HGH from the pituitary. The Vitamin B6, green tea leaf, ginseng root, and magnesium chelate provide energy, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory support that are important in maintaining normal cellular function.

Youth Formula Advanced is packaged in powder form and is taken with a glass of water or juice. An increase in insulin growth factor (IGF-1), and other growth factors, is a normal result of an increase in the blood level of HGH. Users may notice an increase in energy however, there are no stimulants or steroids in Youth Formula Advanced.

To gain maximum results, Youth Formula Advanced is best taken either at bedtime or 1-2 hours before exercise. HGH is normally released during sleep between 1-3 am (depending on the time one goes to sleep), or in response to exercise.

Mix one scoop of powder into a 250ml glass of water or juice. It is best taken in the morning. Drink one glass (scoop) per day. Ages 46 and over may drink two or more glasses per day. Youth Formula Advanced can be consumed between meals, and/or at bedtime. Taken once a day, a 16oz or 450g container will provide a 30 day supply.

Factors important for optimum HGH release and optimum human performance

These factors include the following:

1. High quality sleep 7-9 hours, awakening refreshed and remembering dreams. It is the pulsing of REM with non-REM sleep several times at night which promotes the release of GHRH (growth hormone releasing hormone) from the hypothalamus which then promotes the release of HGH from the pituitary. Sleep masks are important. Any light hitting the eyes (or the body) has been shown to decrease the pineal gland production of melatonin which will definitely with quality and quantity of sleep.

2. Exercise both aerobic and resistance training with machines or weights. Approximately 2-3 times per week resistance training and 3-4 times per week aerobic (jogging, biking, swimming, stationary cycles etc). Exercise stimulates the neuroendocrine system, improves immune system functioning, helps maintain ideal body weight, prevents cardiovascular disease, improves posture, reduces risk of diabetes, increases maximum oxygen uptake, increases muscle strength and reduces blood pressure.

3. Eat a balanced diet. If possible, eat only organically grown foods. Eat smaller portions and eat about every 4-5 hours. Avoid sugar and simple carbohydrates (white bread, pasta and cereal); consider sugar substitutes such as lohan, or xylitol. This is highly individual, and it is most important to maintain ideal body weight. Bioelectrical impedance devices can be use to determine the lean muscle to fat mass ratio. It is known that both a healthy liver and high percentage of lean muscle mass are the two main systems for maintaining optimal blood sugar levels (fasting sugar between 85-100 mg%). When blood sugar stays higher for any period over 1-2 hours, there will be extra insulin released which promotes inflammation and fat storage. In addition, elevated blood sugar (especially in the evening) releases somatostatin which indirectly will block the release of HGH.

4. Hydration is important usually about one half of body weight in ounces of water as a general guideline.

5. Stress reduction or modulation is critical. This can be accomplished with Yoga, Tai Chi, or various types of meditation. Stress increases cortisol which tends to raise blood sugar and lower DHEA which is a critical hormone in building lean muscle mass.
